AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 17, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chuy''s Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHUY ) today announced financial results for the 13-week and 52-week periods ended December 26, 2021. Highlights for the fourth quarter ended December 26, 2021 were as follows : Revenue increased 25.4% to $98.7 million compared to $78.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2020. Comparable restaurant sales increased 20.8% as compared to fiscal 2020 and decreased 0.7% as compared to fiscal 2019. The comparable restaurant sales as compared to 2019 were negatively impacted by approximately 90 basis points due to the timing of Christmas as compared to fiscal 2019. Net income increased 236.3% to $6.0 million, or $0.30 per diluted share, compared to $1.8 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2020. Additionally, net income increased $7.4 million to $6.0 million, or $0.30 per diluted share, as compared to net loss of $1.4 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2019. Adjusted net income (1) increased 104.2% to $7.9 million, or $0.40 per diluted share, compared to $3.9 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2020.
