White House Launches Effort To "Recalculate" US COVID Hospitalization Numbers Since soon after the start of the pandemic, hospitals and public health authorities have refused to acknowledge the important distinction between patients being hospitalized with COVID and those being hospitalized (or those who eventually succumbed) because of COVID. Authorities unwillingness to acknowledge this distinction has led to both the "casedemic" and people who have died from motorcycle accidents being counted as COVID deaths. Now, Politico reports that the Biden Administration is working on recalculating the number of COVID hospitalizations in the US to exclude those who may have tested positive for COVID, but were actually being treated for something else. A task force comprised of scientists and data specialists at the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are working with hospitals nationwide to improve Covid-19 reporting. The group is asking hospitals to report numbers of patients who go to the facility because they have Covid-19 and separate those from individuals who go in for other reasons and test positive after being admitted, the two officials said.

Despite decriminalization efforts underway across the country , the DEA proposed putting five psychedelic compounds in the Schedule I category of the Controlled Substances Act. The agency’s ban of 4-OH-DiPT, 5-MeO-AMT, 5-MeO-MiPT, 5-MeO-DET, and DiPT would put five tryptamines in the same category as drugs like heroin, ecstacy, LSD and of course cannabis. Some 90 people, including researchers and advocates, have submitted official feedback to the agency upon publishing the scheduling proposal in the Federal Register, Marijuana Moment reported. The DEA justified its move by saying that it considered research and recommendations from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which found that “these substances are being abused for their hallucinogenic properties,” in addition to its own eight-factor analyses, in the process of making the scheduling proposal. Constructive Criticism Interestingly, according to Matt Baggott, a neuroscientist, and … Full story available on Benzinga.

"Indefensible Edict" - DeSantis Rages After Biden''s FDA Restricts Use Of Monoclonal Antibody Treatments Governor Ron DeSantis is demanding the Biden Administration reverse its sudden decision to revoke emergency use authorization (EUA) for monoclonal antibody treatments. In a statement from the Florida Governor''s office , he rages that this abrupt and unilateral action by the Biden Administration will prevent access to lifesaving treatments for Floridians and Americans. Without a shred of clinical data to support this action, Biden has forced trained medical professionals to choose between treating their patients or breaking the law, said Governor Ron DeSantis. This indefensible edict takes treatment out of the hands of medical professionals and will cost some Americans their lives. There are real-world implications to Bidens medical authoritarianism Americans access to treatments is now subject to the whims of a failing president. Rather than giving Americans the option for various COVID treatments, the FDA and the Biden Administration issued their royal decree, taking away the very thing that is proven to reduce hospitalizations and save lives, said Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez. Monoclonal antibody treatments like Regeneron have had a positive impact for thousands of Floridians.
Ivermectin Could Destroy Justification For Lockdowns And Vaccine Mandates Authored by Harry Lee and Nicholas VandenNieuwenhof via The Epoch Times, Federal health agencies havent recognized ivermectin as an effective treatment for COVID-19 patients. According to Doctor Leland Stillman, the reason is more political than scientific, because otherwise there would be no basis for lockdowns or vaccine mandates. If ivermectin were recognized by the public health and academic establishment as the drug that it is, that treats acute viral illnesses, one of which is COVID-19, the entire justification for lockdowns, mandates, let alone vaccine research and development would evaporate overnight, Stillman told The Epoch Times in a recent interview. Dr. Leland Stillman in an interview with The Epoch Times in Arizona in December, 2021. (The Epoch Times) According to Section 564 of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act ( pdf ), the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) can only issue emergency use authorization if certain criteria are met, including there is no adequate, approved, and available alternative to the product. So if theres an approved alternative, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)an agency in HHScant issue emergency use authorization for COVID-19 vaccines.
