Big banks will start the first-quarter earnings season later this week. Their reports will give investors an early view of how companies performed. Analysts are watching to see if banks can keep growing in areas like investment banking and net interest income.

JPMorgan Chase will be the first major bank to report, with its earnings release on Friday. Last quarter, JPMorgan surprised investors with a strong rise in profits. The bank grew both its investment banking revenue and its net interest income.

BlackRock will also report on Friday. Last quarter, the firm reached a record for assets under management. Investors will be looking for updates on BlackRock’s $30 billion AI infrastructure project, which includes partnerships with Microsoft (MSFT), Nvidia (NVDA), Elon Musk’s xAI, and others.

Wells Fargo is set to report Friday as well. The bank recently posted higher net income than expected but slightly missed revenue estimates last quarter.

Before the wave of bank reports, Delta Air Lines will report on Wednesday. Delta has lowered its forecast for the quarter because of weakening travel demand tied to economic uncertainty. This comes after a profitable prior quarter, driven by strong sales of premium seats.

Levi Strauss will report Monday. The company has warned that tough economic conditions could impact its 2025 sales.

Egg producer Cal-Maine is set to report Tuesday. The company has gained attention as egg prices became part of the inflation conversation. Cal-Maine beat expectations last quarter, helped by higher egg prices and strong demand due to a bird flu outbreak.

Other notable reports this week include RPM International (maker of Rust-Oleum) on Tuesday, Constellation Brands (Corona beer) on Wednesday, and online car seller CarMax on Thursday.
