InPost Soars Past 1.4 Billion Parcels in 2025 as UK Shipments Explode

InPost SA (WSE: INPT) smashed through its previous parcel-handling records last year, managing a whopping 1.4 billion parcels in 2025. The company's results reflect a 25% increase from the prior year, with Q4 alone witnessing a 30% surge to 417.6 million parcels processed. Peak season was especially busy, hitting a daily record of more than 15 million parcels.
Looking regionally, Poland remains a key market where InPost pulled in 763.1 million parcels for the year, marking an 8% rise. Growth there was skewed toward to-door deliveries, which leapt 36% to nearly 50 million parcels, even as volumes through automated parcel machines (APMs) dipped slightly by 1%. The eurozone painted a different picture, with a 17% overall volume increase to 339.5 million parcels, propped up by a remarkable 54% gain in APM deliveries and a 60% jump in business-to-consumer shipments.
The standout story, however, is the UK and Ireland segment, where volumes more than tripled compared to 2024. Q4 parcel volumes soared from 27.2 million to 92.6 million, lifting full-year deliveries to 262.1 million. This was largely propelled by InPost's consolidation of Yodel's operations from the second quarter, effectively turbocharging its footprint in the region.
InPost also went on an aggressive expansion spree, adding over 14,000 new automated parcel machines throughout 2025. Their network now boasts 61,196 APMs-a 30% increase year-on-year-with total out-of-home delivery points reaching 94,500. Locker density varies by country: Poland gained 11% more machines, the eurozone jumped 55%, and the UK increased its count by 48% during the year.
CEO Rafał Brzoska referred to 2025 as a "landmark year" for the firm, highlighting the company's robust model and the customer trust it's built. Moreover, InPost remains under the microscope as a special committee assesses an indicative takeover offer made earlier this month. No guarantees exist on whether this will evolve into a full transaction.
The operational numbers underscore InPost's growing clout in European logistics and the expanding appeal of automated parcel delivery. UK volumes tripling in a single year don't happen by accident-this reflects both strategic acquisitions and aggressive infrastructure investments. Meanwhile, the diverse performance across regions offers a nuanced picture about where e-commerce delivery dynamics are strongest right now.
With parcel volumes climbing rapidly, it'll be interesting to watch how InPost manages the logistical challenges and whether it uses this momentum to further disrupt traditional postal players. The intensifying demand in the UK market alone has reshaped its business profile, emphasizing last-mile delivery networks' importance in today's hyper-connected shopping ecosystem.
2025 has definitely been the year InPost claimed a bigger slice of Europe's booming parcel delivery scene. Now the question is whether this rapid expansion can be sustained or if saturation and competition might pose speed bumps ahead.
