The hacker behind the $40 million GMX exploit has begun returning the stolen crypto after accepting a $5 million white hat bounty offered by the GMX team.
In a positive development for the crypto community, the individual responsible for the GMX exploit accepted the platform's bounty and returned over $40 million worth of assets stolen from the project.
Hackers returned 90% of the assets recently stolen in the GMX hack. Correspondingly, the GMX token rose 15%, recovering most of the damage from the incident.
After returning funds to GMX, it appeared a would-be hacker sent $5 million in Ethereum to the coin mixer.
