POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY ETF Forecast
Explanation to Bollinger's Bands
Bollinger Bands was created by John Bollinger in the early 1980s, its purpose is to define price action relative to the assets highs and lows. This technical indicator is used to identify buy and sell signals and has proven very well in doing so.
Bollinger Bands consist of a set of three curves drawn in relation to securities prices. The middle band is a measure of the intermediate-term trend, usually a simple moving average, that serves as the base for the upper and lower bands. The interval between the upper and lower bands and the middle band is determined by volatility, typically the standard deviation of the same data that were used for the average. StockInvest.us uses Bollingers suggested 20 day average.
Middle Bollinger Band = 20-period simple moving average
Upper Bollinger Band = Middle Bollinger Band + 2 * 20-period standard deviation
Lower Bollinger Band = Middle Bollinger Band - 2 * 20-period standard deviation
BandWidth defines the current width of the band.
%b defines the current position within the band.
BandWidth = (Upper Bollinger Band - Lower Bollinger Band) / Middle Bollinger Band
%b = (Last - Lower Bollinger Band) / (Upper Bollinger Band - Lower Bollinger Band)

Bottlenecks in bandwidth indicate an upcoming change. Break up through the moving average line or continuous movements above the moving average line indicate a break up, and vice versa.

Weaker technical forecast for POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY as ETF downgraded to Sell Candidate.
(Updated on Jun 28, 2024)
The POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY ETF price gained 0.279% on the last trading day (Friday, 28th Jun 2024), rising from $60.92 to $61.09. During the last trading day the ETF fluctuated 1.15% from a day low at $60.66 to a day high of $61.36. The price has been going up and down for this period, and there has been a -5.76% loss for the last 2 weeks. Volume fell on the last day by -29 thousand shares and in total, 16 thousand shares were bought and sold for approximately $993.63 thousand. You should take into consideration that falling volume on higher prices causes divergence and may be an early warning about possible changes over the next couple of days.
The ETF is at the lower part of a wide and horizontal trend in the short term, and normally this may pose a good buying opportunity, though a breakdown through the bottom trend line at $60.52 will give a strong sell signal and a trend shift may be expected. Given the current horizontal trend, you can expect POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY ETF with a 90% probability to be traded between $60.01 and $66.34 at the end of this 3-month period. A break of a horizontal trend is often followed by a large increase in the volume, and ETFS seldom manage to go directly from the bottom of a trend up to the top. ETFS turning up in the middle of a horizontal trend are therefore considered to be potential runners.

PSP Signals & Forecast
A buy signal was issued from a pivot bottom point on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, and so far it has risen 0.91%. Further rise is indicated until a new top pivot has been found. Some negative signals were issued as well, and these may have some influence on the near short-term development. The POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY ETF holds sell signals from both short and long-term Moving Averages giving a more negative forecast for the stock. Also, there is a general sell signal from the relation between the two signals where the long-term average is above the short-term average. On corrections up, there will be some resistance from the lines at $62.11 and $64.85. A break-up above any of these levels will issue buy signals. Furthermore, there is currently a sell signal from the 3 month Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). Volume fell during the last trading day while the price increased. This causes a divergence and may be considered as an early warning, but it may also not.
Support, Risk & Stop-loss for POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY ETF

For the upcoming trading day on Monday, 1st we expect POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO to open at $61.04, and during the day (based on 14 day Average True Range), to move between $60.13 and $62.05, which gives a possible trading interval of +/-$0.96 (+/-1.58%) up or down from last closing price. If POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO takes out the full calculated possible swing range there will be an estimated 3.16% move between the lowest and the highest trading price during the day.
Since the stock is closer to the support from accumulated volume at $61.00 (0.15%) than the resistance at $63.27 (3.57%), our systems sees the trading risk/reward intra-day as attractive and believe profit can be made before the stock reaches first resistance..
Is POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO ETF A Buy?
POWERSHARES GLOBAL LISTED PRIVATE EQUITY holds several negative signals and is within a wide and falling trend, so we believe it will still perform weakly in the next couple of days or weeks.
