Monster Beverage Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q3 2025
Monster reported a very strong Q3 2025 with record quarterly net sales ($2.2B), gross profit dollars, operating income ($675M, +40.7% YoY) and net income; adjusted EPS rose ~36% YoY. Net sales grew 16.8% reported (15.1% FX-adjusted) and international sales reached a record ~43% of total sales. Monster Energy Drinks segment grew ~17.7% (16.0% FX-adjusted); Strategic Brands up ~15.9%; Alcohol Brands down ~17%. Gross margin improved to 55.7% driven by pricing, supply-chain optimization and product mix, partially offset by higher promotional allowances and aluminum can costs. Operating expenses improved as a percent of sales; adjusted operating income increased ~35.6% YoY. October preliminary sales were ~13–14% above prior year. Management implemented targeted pricing actions effective Nov 1, expects minimal volume impact, and will continue RGM and trade optimization. Innovation and marketing remain priorities (many SKU launches and major sponsorships including F1/McLaren and X Games); a robust 2026 innovation slate was highlighted (many SKUs and LTOs). Tariffs (notably aluminum Midwest premium) had a modest Q3 impact and are expected to modestly affect Q4 2025 and 2026; management believes current tariffs are not likely to be materially disruptive to operating results. No share repurchases were made in the quarter; ~$500M remains available under the repurchase program. Investor Day is scheduled for December 2, 2025.
