Adobe Systems Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Adobe reported a strong start to FY26 with Q1 revenue of $6.40B (up 11% YoY in constant currency), GAAP EPS $4.60 and non-GAAP EPS $6.06. Ending ARR was $26.06B (up ~10.9% YoY). Key growth drivers were AI-infused and AI-first products: Firefly (ending ARR > $250M across apps/credits/Enterprise), Acrobat/Express, Creative Cloud Pro, AEP and GenStudio. Monthly active users (MAU) for Acrobat/Creative/Express/Firefly surpassed 850M (17% YoY growth); creative freemium MAU crossed 80M (up 50% YoY). Generative credit consumption rose >45% QoQ; Firefly Enterprise new customer acquisition grew 50% YoY. Enterprise CXO (AEP and apps) and GenStudio each grew >30% YoY, with strong enterprise adoption and numerous new trials and wins. Management acknowledged a faster-than-expected decline in the traditional standalone stock business (~$450M book), and noted that freemium strategies (Express/Firefly) have dampened ARR in the near term while building MAU and future monetization. Adobe reaffirmed FY26 targets (including an expected total ARR growth of 10.2%) and provided Q2 revenue and EPS ranges; Semrush acquisition is expected to close in Q2 (subject to approvals). Balance sheet/capital allocation: Q1 operating cash flow record of $2.96B, $6.89B cash & short-term investments, repurchased ~8.1M shares (about $3.89B remaining on prior $25B authorization). Leadership: CEO Shantanu Narayen announced he will transition from the CEO role over the coming months and will remain Chair to support the successor search.
