Dynatrace Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Dynatrace reported a strong start to fiscal 2026 with Q1 subscription revenue up 19%, ARR up 16% to $1.82B, and trailing 12-month pretax free cash flow at 33% of revenue. The company highlights momentum across three strategic observability use cases — end-to-end observability, AI observability (including agentic AI ambitions), and business observability — and emphasizes Grail (its data lakehouse) as a differentiator. Key go-to-market wins included 12 seven-figure ACV expansions, a nearly 50% YoY increase in the strategic enterprise pipeline (and more than doubled $1M+ deals), strong GSI partner contribution, and rapid logs adoption (logs consumption +36% sequentially and >100% YoY). Dynatrace expects to hit $100M in annualized logs consumption by year-end. DPS (Dynatrace Platform Subscription) continues to gain traction, representing >45% of customers and >65% of ARR; DPS customers consume ~2x the capabilities and drive stronger usage and retention. The company repurchased $45M of stock in Q1 and has repurchased $218M since the program began. Management maintained full-year ARR growth guidance at 13%–14% (constant currency) and raised revenue and EPS slightly to reflect an accounting change around on-demand consumption (ODC) recognition; they clarified ODC changes only affect revenue timing and do not change ARR or NRR. Management remains cautiously optimistic given strong momentum but notes timing variability on large deals and macro/geopolitical uncertainty.
