Amazon reaches an agreement with automaker Stellantis to be the first commercial customer for its Ram ProMaster battery electric vehicle that will launch in 2023.
Stellantis has already sold tens of thousands of vehicles to Amazon. Now more will be going to Amazon, which will provide cloud services to the automaker.
Amazon Web Services will also provide cloud services and help accelerate engineering initiatives.
Chrysler introduced its first EV. And parent Stellantis said it would go full battery electric by 2028.
The giant internet retailer is the first commercial customer of these delivery vehicles, which will work alongside Rivian electric vans starting in 2023. The deal was announced at CES 2022.
