"A Slow Motion Disaster": Network Sunset Of 3G Will Wreak Havoc For Millions Of Vehicles On The Road While the world is looking forward to the future of 5G - as soon as we can figure out how to implement it without screwing up our entire air travel infrastructure - the demise of 3G is quietly wreaking havoc with some automakers, according to a new report from CNBC . "Millions of car owners" are affected by 3G dropping off the map, the report notes. Many vehicles use 3G networks for updates and remote communication, including models manufactured by Tesla, Audi, Honda and Nissan. The affectionately titled "network sunset" of 3G renders some features on these models, and many other products including home security systems, obsolete. While some vehicles will still function normally, CNBC notes that "others could lose automatic emergency response services in the event of a crash and certain infotainment and convenience features such as real-time navigation and smartphone app features such as pre-cabin conditioning".
AT&T is expanding tests of small cell 5G radios that can discreetly hide on top of city street light posts without extra power or boxes. The technology was developed in partnership with Ericsson and Ubicquia.

03:37pm, Wednesday, 23'rd Feb 2022 Benzinga
Benzingas weekly Stock Wars matches up two leaders in a major industry sector with the goal of determining which company is the better investment. This week, the duel is between two popular restaurant chains: Dennys Corp. (NASDAQ: DENN ) and Shake Shack Inc. (NASDAQ: SHAK ). The Case For Dennys: This company traces its roots back to a coffee shop called Danny''s Donuts that opened in 1953 in Lakewood, California. The business grew into a six-store chain within three years when it changed its name to Dannys Coffee Shops and started operating as a 24-hour business. Dannys Coffee Shops became Dennys Coffee Shops in 1959 to avoid confusion with another California chain, Coffee Dans. The business renamed itself again in 1961 as Dennys. Today, the Spartanburg, South Carolina-headquartered Dennys has 1,640 franchised, licensed, and company restaurants across the U.S. (including Puerto Rico and Guam) and is in 11 countries. It has been publicly traded since November 1989. Among its recent corporate developments, Dennys announced a partnership with REEF , an operator of North American virtual restaurants, logistics and proximity hubs.
