08:25pm, Tuesday, 01'st Mar 2022 Benzinga
Bottom fishing is a tempting but dangerous sport that can be rewarding if good risk management is used. It is more difficult when trying to pick a bottom in an issue that has been prolonged downtrend since July 2020. That issue is Zoom Video Communications Inc (NASDAQ: ZM ), which is the Premarket Prep Stock of the Day. Zoom''s Fall From Grace: In the months following the breakout of the pandemic, Zoom was unstoppable on the upside. In fact, it did not peak until Oct. 19, 2020 at $588.84 and backed off to the end the month at $460.91. Interestingly, it held up fairly well in November, rallying to $478.36. Zoom (ZM) Stock Now Down Nearly 80% From All-Time Highs
06:10pm, Tuesday, 01'st Mar 2022 Benzinga
Shares of Zoom Video Communications (NASDAQ: ZM ) are down nearly 3% today after the communications technology company once again reported disappointing results . With shares now down almost 80% compared to all-time highs set in October 2020, the question arises whether now is the right time to invest in Zoom? Significant Growth Deceleration Zoom was one of the biggest beneficiaries of a major shift in the work routines following the COVID-19 outbreak. Shares of the company skyrocketed 850% in 10 months from December 2019 to October 2020 on high volume as corporations around the globe embraced work-from-home work regimes. At this time, the fear of missing out occurred increasingly among investors and even P/E ratios of >100 were not perceived as a warning signal. As many other pandemic beneficiaries, Zoom benefited from the pull-forward effect. In essence, the pandemic created a bigger-than-expected demand for Zoom’s products, which then translated into inflated earnings. However, the demand has proved to be not sustainable as the world returns …

March Opening Like A Lion As Equity Index Futures Fall And Oil Futures Rise
03:39pm, Tuesday, 01'st Mar 2022 Benzinga
This post contains sponsored advertising content. This content is for informational purposes only and not intended to be investing advice. (Tuesday Market Open) The S&P 500 futures bounced around before the opening bell, trading in the positive and the negative. Overall, equity index futures were more negative than positive as a 40-mile-long convoy of Russian military vehicles heads to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, and Ukraine’s second largest city of Kharkiv is bombed and invaded by Russian troops. The actions are causing crude oil futures to spike 5.47% before the bell. Investors are moving into safe havens as gold futures are up about 1%, and the 10-year Treasury yield (TNX) is down a staggering 4.3% with the yield at 1.762% ahead of the open. The TNX is now trading around April 2021 highs as bond prices rise. Many investors are eyeballing the 4,300 support level on the S&P 500 (SPX) that held three times in last nine months. Last Thursday the level was broken, but the bulls pushed the index back above support before the day was out.

Futures, Treasury Yields Tumble As Ukraine News Spike Risk Off Mood
12:51pm, Tuesday, 01'st Mar 2022 Zero Hedge
Futures, Treasury Yields Tumble As Ukraine News Spike Risk Off Mood In a mirror image of yesterday''s overnight bounce, S&P futures and European markets have slumped to session lows as a risk off mood prevailed as US traders got to their desks having hit overnight highs of 4,399 just before the European open, as mood soured after the conflict in Ukraine intensified amid mounting penalties against Russia, and as participants look to a heavy data-docket ahead and Fed speak including Powell later in the week. Any residual optimism was shattered after Ukrainian President Zelensky said that negotiations with the Russian side have not achieved required results while Russian Defense Minister Shoygu says Russia will continue operations in Ukraine until it achieves its goals. As a result, Nasdaq 100 contracts were down 0.9% as of 7 a.m. in New York after the cash index closed yesterday’s session with its second straight monthly decline, a trend not seen since October 2020. S&P 500 futures declined 0.7% or 30 points to 4,337 while Dow futures fell 0.7% or 230 points, reversing much of yesterday''s last hour ramp.
