Tesla

The Tesla stock price fell by -0.397% on the last day (Friday, 31st May 2024) from $178.79 to $178.08. During the last trading day the stock fluctuated 3.74% from a day low at $173.82 to a day high of $180.32. The price has fallen in 6 of the last 10 days but is still up by 1.85% over the past 2 weeks. Volume fell on the last day along with the stock, which is actually a good sign as volume should follow the stock. On the last day, the trading volume fell by -11 million shares and in total, 66 million shares were bought and sold for approximately $11.82 billion.

On May 31, 2024, it was reported that Jefferies gave TSLA a "Hold" grade with a "hold" action.

The stock is moving within a very wide and horizontal trend and further movements within this trend can be expected. Given the current horizontal trend, you can expect Tesla stock with a 90% probability to be traded between $145.74 and $198.32 at the end of this 3-month period. A break of a horizontal trend is often followed by a large increase in the volume, and stocks seldom manage to go directly from the bottom of a trend up to the top. Stocks turning up in the middle of a horizontal trend are therefore considered to be potential runners.

Tesla

The Tesla stock holds buy signals from both short and long-term Moving Averages giving a positive forecast for the stock. Also, there is a general buy signal from the relation between the two signals where the short-term average is above the long-term average. On corrections down, there will be some support from the lines at $177.56 and $171.60. A breakdown below any of these levels will issue sell signals. Some negative signals were issued as well, and these may have some influence on the near short-term development. A sell signal was issued from a pivot top point on Monday, April 29, 2024, and so far it has fallen -8.23%. Further fall is indicated until a new bottom pivot has been found. Furthermore, there is currently a sell signal from the 3 month Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). Volume fell together with the price during the last trading day and this reduces the overall risk as volume should follow the price movements.

On the downside, the stock finds support just below today's level from accumulated volume at $164.90 and $162.50.There is a natural risk involved when a stock is testing a support level, since if this is broken, the stock then may fall to the next support level. In this case, Tesla finds support just below today's level at $164.90. If this is broken, then the next support from accumulated volume will be at $162.50 and $162.13.

This stock is usually traded at a good volume, and with minor daily changes, the risk is considered to be low. During the last day, the stock moved $6.50 (3.74%) between high and low. For the last week, the stock has had daily average volatility of 3.38%.

Tesla holds several negative signals and we believe that it will still perform weakly in the next couple of days or weeks. We, therefore, hold a negative evaluation of this stock.Due to some small weaknesses in the technical picture we have downgraded our analysis conclusion for this stock since the last evaluation from a Buy to a Sell candidate.
