Asml Holding N.v Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
ASML reported strong Q2 2026 results and raised full-year guidance as demand for advanced lithography continues to accelerate. Q2 net sales were EUR 9.3bn (net system sales EUR 6.6bn: EUV EUR 3.8bn including one High-NA), Installed Base Management (IBM) sales were EUR 2.8bn, gross margin 54%, net income EUR 2.9bn (EPS €7.59). Cash & short-term investments totaled EUR 7.6bn; free cash flow was EUR 1.3bn. The company paid final dividend for 2025 and resumed buybacks (~EUR 1.1bn in Q2); the first 2026 interim dividend is EUR 1.88/share. Guidance was raised: Q3 sales EUR 11–12bn, Q3 gross margin 55–57%; full-year 2026 sales now EUR 43–45bn and gross margin 54–56%. Demand drivers include sharp increases in advanced logic (3nm, 2nm, planning for 1.4nm) and DRAM (DDR & HBM), with lithography intensity rising and customers converting multi-patterning to single-expose EUV. Operational plans: ~65 Low-NA EUV shipments expected in 2026 (EUV system sales growth >45% YoY), ~130 immersion DUV shipments, non-EUV systems growth ~25%, IBM growth >30%. ASML is increasing Low-NA EUV and immersion capacity ~30% for 2027 and investigating a further ~30% for 2028 (possible ~110 Low-NA EUV units in 2028), largely by optimizing existing footprint and improving throughput/productivity (unit increases plus productivity gains yield larger effective wafer capacity uplift). High-NA progress: platform maturity improving and Intel Foundry announced using ASML High-NA for Intel 18A Core Ultra Series 3 processors — a meaningful production milestone. China business expected to be ~20% of full-year sales. Management reiterated focus on aligning capacity with multi-year customer visibility, continued R&D investment and operational execution to meet demand.
