Corby Spirit and Wine Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Corby Spirit & Wine reported a strong start to FY2026 with record Q1 revenue of $75.4 million (up 16%) and reported net earnings up 9%. Growth was driven by continued spirits market share gains and rapid expansion of the RTD (ready-to-drink) portfolio—RTDs grew ~44% in Q1 and outpaced the category across regions. Corby attributes performance to route-to-market modernization in Ontario, favorable order phasing in Q1 (expected to normalize in Q2), successful sales execution after removal of some U.S.-origin SKUs, and strategic portfolio actions (including disposal of select noncore ABG assets and increasing ownership in ABG to 95%). Adjusted EBITDA set a quarterly record ($20.3M, +4%) while adjusted EPS was $0.39. Cash from operations improved ($5.6M) and net debt fell to $93M, lowering net debt/adjusted EBITDA to 1.4x. The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share (up 5% YoY), with a rolling 12-month payout ratio around 55% and a ~6.6% yield at quarter end. Management expects Q2 to be softer due to normalization of LCBO orders and BC labor strike impacts but remains confident in medium-term market share and RTD growth.
