Hubbell Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q3 2025
Hubbell reported solid Q3 2025 results: sales +4% to ~$1.5B, adjusted diluted EPS +12%, operating profit +4% and free cash flow +34% ($254M). Strength was concentrated in Electrical Solutions (double-digit sales and margin expansion, led by data center and light industrial) and the Grid Infrastructure portion of Utility Solutions (high single-digit organic growth across transmission, substation and distribution). Grid Automation declined due to large project roll-offs but management expects that drag to abate in Q4. Management raised full-year 2025 guidance (adjusted EPS midpoint up ~$0.30 to $18.20) driven by stronger margin performance and a lower tax rate; Q4 is expected to show sequential acceleration (management cites strong September/October order activity). Hubbell closed the acquisition of DMC Power (strategic, high-margin substation connector technology) and expects it to contribute approximately $0.20 of adjusted EPS in 2026. CFO Bill Sperry announced his retirement effective year-end and Joe Capozzoli was named successor (effective 2026). Capital allocation remains active: $825M deployed for DMC while maintaining balance sheet flexibility; share repurchases earlier in the year (~$225M) contributed to EPS. Management expects supply-chain normalization exiting 2025 and is constructive on 2026, targeting mid-single-digit organic growth enterprise-wide with continued margin expansion driven by pricing, productivity and restructuring efforts.
