Teradyne Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q3 2025
Teradyne reported strong Q3 2025 results driven primarily by AI-related semiconductor test demand. Revenue was $769M (up 18% sequentially) and non-GAAP EPS was $0.85 (up 49% sequentially). Semi Test (particularly SoC/compute and memory/HBM) was the primary driver at $606M, with memory accelerating (Q3 memory $128M, +110% QoQ) and UltraFLEXplus and Magnum 7H positioned to capture AI compute, networking and HBM opportunities. Management expects continued strength into Q4 with guidance of $920M–$1.0B revenue, 57%–58% gross margin and non-GAAP EPS $1.20–$1.46, driven largely by customers pulling AI projects into Q4. Robotics remains weak but slowly recovering; service revenue is growing. OpEx is rising for AI R&D and go-to-market investments, with a target for long-term OpEx growth roughly half of revenue growth. Balance sheet: $427M cash & marketable securities, continued buybacks (Q3 repurchases ~$246M) and a plan to keep cash around ~$400M while using credit lines more actively. CFO transition: Michelle Turner named CFO effective Nov 3, 2025. Management reiterated that 2026 looks stronger than six months ago but results will remain lumpy due to concentrated AI customers and timing of large projects.
