Arbutus Biopharma Corporation (NASDAQ: ABUS ) and Genevant have sued Moderna Inc (NASDAQ: MRNA ) for infringing on their patent on a lipid nanoparticle platform that they say was crucial to the delivery of Moderna’s widely-used COVID-19 vaccine.
