Toyota's president and CEO Akio Toyoda will step aside to become chairman, while Koji Sato, who has been leading the Lexus luxury division and Toyota motor racing, will take over.

Sato will become the new CEO while the current chairman, Takeshi Uchiyamada, will drop his chairman title but remain on the board, Toyota said.
