Oil prices edge higher in cautious trade

Crude oil futures were slightly higher early Thursday, consolidating after losing ground the previous session when government data showed a smaller-than-expected fall in U.S. crude inventories.
U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures are lower as strong US Dollar and profit-taking take effect.
Oil prices slipped in early Asian trade on Thursday, extending the previous session's losses, as the dollar strengthened and on profit-taking after U.S. crude oil stocks fell less than expected.
