Auckland International Airport Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q4 2025
Auckland Airport delivered a solid FY25 result despite global airline fleet constraints, subdued domestic demand and a soft local economy. Key operational results: total passenger movements rose 1.1% to 18.7m (international +2.5% to 10.3m; domestic -0.5% to 8.4m). Revenue grew 12% to just over $1bn and operating EBITDAFI rose 14% to $701m (margin 69.8%). Reported NPAT was $420.7m (benefitting from investment property revaluations); underlying NPAT rose 12% to $310.4m. The board declared a final dividend of $0.07/share (payout ~71.8% of underlying NPAT). Capital expenditure was nearly $1.1bn (mostly aeronautical). The airport progressed major infrastructure (terminal integration ~35% complete, international airfield expansion, Transport Hub, cargo precinct) and continued strong commercial property performance (rent roll +18% to $192m, >99% occupancy). Retail and parking improved, though retail PSR was hurt in H2 by foreign exchange and lower luxury spend; duty-free and F&B were bright spots. Management delivered cost savings via a ‘Match Fit’ program (>8% of cost base / >$25m). Outlook/guidance: underlying earnings guidance for FY26 of $280m–$320m and CapEx guidance of $1.0bn–$1.3bn. Main risks: continued global fleet constraints (limiting seat capacity), slower domestic recovery, retail FX disruption, construction-related disruption and macro/geopolitical uncertainty.
