Liberty Media Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Atlanta Braves Holdings reported a strong start to 2026 on both baseball and business fronts. On the field the team began the season among MLB leaders in record, run differential, ERA and run scoring, with strong attendance (avg ~33,000 over first 18 home games) and renewed optimism about playoffs. Off the field the company launched BravesVision — a vertically integrated in-house regional network and streaming product built rapidly using partners (Gray Media/Raycom) and in-house staff — and management says early fan/advertiser reaction has been positive. Q1 revenue was $72.0 million (vs. $47.2M a year ago), driven by 5 regular-season home games in the quarter and stronger mixed-use development revenue ($26.3M) from recent real estate additions (Pennant Park, 5 Ballpark). Adjusted OIBDA loss improved to $(17.6)M (vs. $(28.5)M prior-year) and operating loss improved to $(41.3)M. Management cautioned that BravesVision financial reporting and KPIs are still being finalized; they believe BravesVision will meet or exceed prior RSN economics but noted the timing and cadence of cash flows (distribution, ad, DTC) will differ from the old rights‑fee model. The company has $135.2M of cash and ~$265M of undrawn revolving capacity, and management expects capital spending related to prior master-planning to moderate going forward. Battery Atlanta (mixed-use campus) remains busy with strong leasing demand, new premium dining tenants, and event activity.
