Brilliant Earth Group Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Brilliant Earth reported a solid start to 2026 with Q1 net sales of $99.5 million, up ~6% year-over-year and at the high end of guidance. Total orders rose ~3% with strength in repeat orders and a meaningful increase in average selling prices driven by higher-value customers and selective price increases to offset metal costs. Fine jewelry was a standout: bookings up 33% YoY, showroom fine jewelry bookings up 48% YoY, and management reiterated a path for fine jewelry to become a ~$100 million business. The company continues omnichannel expansion (42 showrooms, two more planned) and is leveraging experiential showroom concepts (Beverly Hills flagship, Bridal Collective, Date Night). Gross margin was 54.3% (mid-50s target) despite high metal prices; management believes Q1 was the low point for gross margin and expects improvement as pricing, design/production, procurement and hedging initiatives take effect. Adjusted EBITDA was negative $4.7 million in Q1 but management expects profitability in Q2 (adjusted EBITDA $0.5M–$2M) and positive adjusted EBITDA for the full year (albeit slightly below 2025). Balance sheet: ~$59M cash and no debt. Guidance: full-year net sales growth in mid-single-digit percent range, mid-50s gross margin, continued marketing leverage, and selective investments in showrooms and technology.
