Draegerwerk AG Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Dräger delivered a strong H1 2026: net sales rose ~7.7% (about EUR 1.6bn), order intake was slightly above last year (~EUR 1.75bn), and EBIT more than tripled to ~EUR 64m, lifting the group EBIT margin to 4.0%. Free cash flow improved materially to ~EUR 16m (vs. -EUR 42m prior year), net financial debt fell to ~EUR 190m and net debt/EBITDA is ~0.5. Medical division saw recovering sales (+7.6%) and moved from a negative to near-breakeven EBIT (Q2 positive EUR 4.3m), though order intake was impacted by a large prior-year Mexico hospital order. Safety delivered strong, broad-based growth (order intake +9.5% H1; +19.8% Q2) and margin expansion (Safety EBIT margin ~11% in H1). Gross margin improvement and several customs refund one-offs materially supported earnings; management notes continued cost headwinds from freight (geopolitical tensions) but expects full-year expense growth below net sales growth.
