Elekta AB Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Elekta reported a modest Q2 with 1% organic revenue growth, a 37.9% gross margin (up ~220 bps year-over-year) and an adjusted EBIT margin of 10.1%. Strength was seen in Europe, services, brachytherapy and neuro, and early momentum for Elekta Evo and software/upgrades (Iris). China order momentum is recovering (book-to-bill ~1.3 this quarter) after prior weakness. The company completed a firmer review of its backlog and canceled SEK 2.2 billion of older orders with no cash-flow or near-term revenue impact. New CEO Jakob Just-Bomholt unveiled a “simplify, empower, speed” operating-model change that delayers the organization, increases regional P&L accountability and increases span of control; as a result Elekta will reduce headcount by ~10% (~450 roles) targeting at least SEK 500 million in annual cost savings (30% estimated to affect COGS / gross margin and 70% OpEx). Elekta reiterates full-year guidance of organic growth in constant currency and expects China to recover in H2. Management will provide a more detailed strategy update at a Capital Markets Day in June 2026.
