Ab Electrolux (publ) Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Electrolux reported improved underlying performance in Q2 2026 with organic sales up 2% and EBIT excluding nonrecurring items increasing to SEK 1.2 billion (margin 3.8%). Key positives were volume growth and market share gains in EMEA/APAC and Latin America (notably Brazil), SEK 1.4 billion of cost-efficiency contributions in the quarter and improved cash flow (operating cash after investments SEK 1.6 billion). The group completed a SEK ~9 billion rights issue, strengthening liquidity (available liquidity including RCF SEK 37.7 billion) and reducing near-term leverage risk (net debt/EBITDA 2.6x; target <=2x over time). Major strategic actions include a North America transformation through a strategic partnership and JVs with Midea (new operating model for Food Preservation and Fabric Care) and global footprint/organization optimization (factory closures and repurposings). Headwinds remain material: expanded U.S. Section 232 tariffs (including Mexico) and Middle East-related cost inflation (higher logistics and raw material costs) will weigh more in H2, and nonrecurring charges of SEK 2.2 billion were recorded (mainly Midea-related and footprint/organization items). Management expects full-year cost-efficiency of SEK 3.5–4.0 billion, lower capex of ~SEK 3.0–3.5 billion, continued tariff headwinds in H2, and a neutral-to-negative market outlook for Europe and North America while maintaining a positive outlook for Brazil.
