Eos Energy Enterprises Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Eos reported strong operational progress in Q1 2026, with $57 million revenue (5x YoY) and $115 million delivered across the last two quarters. Manufacturing output and efficiency improved: cube output up 17% sequentially, direct labor per cube down 47% YoY, and gross loss improved $10 million sequentially. Cash was $472 million at quarter end, with an expected ~$60 million of Q1 cash to return from a DOE loan drawdown, PTC monetization and customer invoicing. Backlog was $645 million (2.6 GWh) and the commercial pipeline grew to 107 GWh (~$24 billion), with 55% of pipeline demand at 8+ hour duration—Eos’ target market. The company is rolling out DawnOS (module-level BMS) across the fleet, which materially improved round-trip efficiency and variance, making performance more financeable. Operational scaling continues: the Thorn Hill factory’s initial production is on track for end of Q2 with full production expected in Q4, and automation/cost-out initiatives are driving material and labor improvements. Eos announced Frontier Power USA, a platform to accelerate project bankability and deployment: a three-layer capital structure (equity from Cerberus and Eos via a $150M pro rata rights offering, an Ariel Green/Lloyd’s insurance performance wrap, and targeted >$1B of senior project debt). Frontier is expected to increase order conversion and reduce customers’ cost of capital; Eos plans to initially take a 49% stake. Guidance: Eos reaffirmed 2026 revenue outlook of $300–$400 million and expects adjusted gross margin positive and positive adjusted EBITDA later this year. A new CFO, Alessandro Lagi, joins in June.
