Gaiam Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Gaia is refocusing on building a higher-quality, direct membership base and imposing pricing discipline to improve long-term unit economics. In March the company implemented a ~15% price increase for monthly members in ~80% of regions; annual members will see increases at renewal. Management is deliberately reducing reliance on lower-value third-party distribution, cutting discounting, rebuilding direct marketing and investing in content, AI-driven personalization and community features. Near-term revenue growth may be pressured during the transition, but management targets materially better member economics: an approximate 20% reduction in churn and a 20–25% ARPU increase by Q4 2026. Financially, Q1 revenue was $24.3M (up from $23.8M YoY), gross margin ~86%, net loss $1.3M, operating cash flow $1.5M and free cash flow $1.1M (ninth consecutive quarter of positive free cash flow). Cash was $13.1M with a $10M available credit line. Management reiterates a path to breakeven in Q4 2026 and full-year profitability in 2027, while targeting longer-term revenue/EBITDA milestones (e.g., $150M revenue and ~$39.3M adjusted EBITDA by 2029). Igniton (biohacking business) remains small/nonmaterial this quarter, cash-positive (~$5M) and near breakeven. The company expects third-party channel contribution to fall back below 20% within ~12 months.
