Geopark Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
GeoPark delivered a strong Q1 2026 with average production of 27,249 boe/d (in line with 2026 guidance and up vs Q4 2025). Key operational highlights include progress in Vaca Muerta (Argentina): three horizontal sections drilled, fracs scheduled for June, facility upgrades, water-management wells and a factory-mode drilling contract expected to start in December. The company expects Argentina production to rise from ~1,430 boe/d in Q1 to 5,000–6,000 boe/d by December 2026. Colombian assets showed resilience (Llanos 34, CPO-5, Llanos 123) supported by waterflooding and infill activity. Financials were strong: revenues of $128.4M (Q/Q +16%), Adjusted EBITDA $71.3M (56% margin, +54% Q/Q), operating profit $58M and net income $20.2M. Operating costs fell to $14.7/boe and structural costs to $4/boe in Q1. CapEx was $22M (3.4x EBITDA/CapEx; ROACE 19%). Balance sheet and liquidity strengthened via $65M local debt, $100.3M escrow recovery/breakup fee and a $107M equity investment from Grupo Gilinski; cash of $274.9M and net debt $333.1M (1.3x leverage). Dividend declared: $0.023 per share. Hedging: ~19,000 bbl/d hedged for 2026 (white collars with downside protection and upside participation) and ~11,000 bbl/d hedged for 2027; management expects potential derivative losses if Brent remains elevated but prefers to keep positions for cashflow stability. Capital allocation priorities remain: protect and maximize Colombian core assets, grow in Argentina (Vaca Muerta) and pursue selective, disciplined M&A (including active evaluation of Venezuela opportunities).
