Intrum Ab (publ) Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q3 2025
Intrum reported a mixed Q3 2025 driven by significant one-offs and a strong underlying operating performance. Adjusted EBIT is up (~30% YoY) and servicing achieved organic top-line growth (first since 2022) with a 25% adjusted EBIT margin (rolling 12 months). Servicing grew in 10 of 16 markets, pipeline increased (~SEK 1.8bn) and management is prioritizing top-line growth while maintaining margin discipline. Investing activity increased to SEK 303m this quarter with high IRR and collections modestly ahead of forecast, but investing income is down reflecting a smaller book (SEK 22.5bn). Management took conservative balance-sheet actions including impairments (notably Spain goodwill) and tax/recapitalization accounting items, producing a volatile reported EBIT (~-SEK 600m) but underlying net profit supported by a SEK 2.3bn recapitalization gain. Leverage has been restated using nominal debt (reported ~4.7x), management emphasizes deleveraging as a top priority and plans to present updated strategic targets at Q4. Cost discipline is progressing (run rate ~SEK 12.5bn, FTEs down ~1,000), expected further D&A reduction (~SEK 300m benefit in 2026) from write-downs, and limited incremental cash one-offs remain. Management reiterates disciplined investing (price over volume), ambition to reach ~SEK 2bn p.a. investment run-rate, continued partnership with Cerberus, and focus on sustaining servicing growth and extracting ancillary revenue opportunities.
