KKR & LP Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
KKR reported a strong Q1 2026 with fee-related earnings (FRE) of $1.13 per share (+23% YoY), total operating earnings of $1.47 per share (+18% YoY) and adjusted net income of $1.39 per share (+20% YoY). Management fees totaled $1.2 billion (up ~30% YoY) with fees diversified roughly one-third each across private equity, real assets and credit. The firm generated roughly $880 million of monetization revenue in the quarter (realized carry ~$720m) and reported $18.3 billion of embedded gains across asset management and strategic holdings. Fundraising remained robust: $28 billion raised in Q1 and $127 billion over the trailing 12 months with particular strength in credit (including asset-based finance) and continued momentum in flagship and K-Series products (K-Series AUM ~$38 billion). KKR completed the Arctos acquisition (adds ~$16bn AUM) and increased its annualized dividend to $0.78, the seventh consecutive increase. Direct lending is a modest part of AUM ($39bn, ~5%), and the private BDC footprint is small (~$3bn). Capital allocation highlights: $317m of buybacks through May 1 (avg price ~$91) and an incremental $500m repurchase authorization; continued disciplined insurance origination given competitive spreads; strategic M&A (Arctos) and employee ownership programs emphasized. Guidance/visibility: management reaffirmed confidence in long-term fundraising and FRE growth but noted that near-term monetization visibility has weakened—previous 2026 ANI budgeting targeted $7+ per share but management now states it is more likely they will land below that level given current market uncertainty, though delayed monetizations would likely shift into 2027+. The firm emphasized durable recurring earnings, high committed capital ($125bn uncalled), strong monetization pipeline (~$1.2bn+ forward monetizations discussed), active AI adoption across portfolio companies, and continued focus on digital infrastructure/data centers.
