Munters Group Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Munters delivered an exceptional quarter in order intake (organic >140%) and a strong backlog (book-to-bill 2.3x overall; DCT book-to-bill 3.6x), positioning the company for substantial revenue growth into 2027–2028. Data Center Technology (DCT) saw continued high demand but lower Q2 sales and margin pressure due to a planned U.S. production ramp-up compounded by component shortages and higher tariffs; management says these supply issues have set DCT about one quarter behind plan but the full-year target of ~30% DCT sales growth still stands, skewed to H2 and especially Q4. AirTech showed improving profitability driven by completed and ongoing cost-savings programs and very strong component (pads/desiccant wheels) demand, though management cautions some of this spike is extraordinary and not the new normal. FoodTech (Speria) is being prepared for possible divestment to sharpen the group's focus; management says interest from potential buyers is high but the process is early. Financials: net sales modestly up overall, resilient net income, very strong operating cash flow (driven by customer advances in DCT), continued investments (notably Virginia facility), CapEx guidance unchanged versus prior year, leverage temporarily elevated (3.2) but expected to improve as earnings increase. Outlook: full-year net sales growth unchanged; adjusted EBITA margin expected to improve in H2 as DCT backlog converts and AirTech efficiencies continue. Management reiterates a multi-quarter path to target margins and highlights sustainability-linked investments funded by green bonds.
