Omnicom Group Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Omnicom completed its first full quarter post-Interpublic acquisition and reported solid operational and financial progress. Core operations revenue was $5.6 billion, up $345 million vs. pro forma Q1 2025, with organic growth of 3.9%. Integrated Media (media, commerce, data, CRM, consulting, content automation) now represents ~52% of revenue and led growth (high single digits); PR and experiential grew mid-single digits, health was positive, and advertising declined. Adjusted EBITDA increased $180 million (+27%) and adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 14.8% (up ~240 bps vs. combined Q1 2025). Non-GAAP adjusted diluted EPS was $1.90, up 11.8% year-over-year. Management excluded businesses held for sale (planned dispositions ~ $3.2 billion of annual revenue, ~$1 billion disposed in Q1) from “core operations” and plans to dispose of the remainder over the next several quarters. The new Omni AI platform (Agentic AI) has been scaled across the company and is cited as a key driver of media performance, addressability, measurement and speed to activation. Management reiterated synergy and capital return targets: $900 million of 2026 cost-reduction synergies and $1.5 billion by mid-2028; a $5 billion share repurchase program to be completed over the next 12 months (including a $2.5 billion ASR), with $2.8 billion repurchased in Q1. Balance sheet: gross long-term debt ~$10.2 billion after refinancing; pro forma total leverage ~2.5x and liquidity includes $4.3 billion cash equivalents plus an undrawn $3.5 billion revolver. Free cash flow increased ~70% year-over-year (benefitting from the Interpublic combination). Management said it remains on track to meet prior operating targets (including the Investor Day 4% core organic growth reference and double-digit EPS growth cadence) but will continue to monitor macro and geopolitical risks.
