Quilter Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q4 2025
Quilter delivered a strong 2025 driven by record net inflows, margin expansion and targeted reinvestment. Core net inflows reached a record GBP 9.1bn (c.75% higher than 2024) with sustained quarterly net flows of around GBP 2bn, supporting 14% higher average AuMA. Adjusted profit rose 6% to GBP 207m, operating margin reached 30% and adjusted EPS increased to 11p. The Board declared a final dividend (total 6.3p, +7%) and announced a share buyback after a capital review that identified c. GBP 100m of excess capital. The company is shifting from a dividend payout policy to a distribution policy (targeting c.70% of adjusted post-tax, post-interest earnings returned to shareholders, with c.30% retained for growth and M&A).
Operational highlights: Quilter’s WealthSelect MPS has become market-leading with >GBP 25bn AuM and is now on multiple third-party platforms; the firm is the UK’s largest single adviser platform and fastest-growing among large platforms. Adviser productivity has improved materially (fewer but more productive advisers), Quilter Invest and the Quilter Academy are being scaled, and targeted support / simplified advice (including the newly submitted FCA permissions) are a strategic priority to address a large unadvised market opportunity. The business is rolling out AI and end-to-end adviser tools (with staged implementation through 2027) to boost adviser productivity, client engagement and back-office efficiency.
Financial / cost guidance: Revenues grew 5% to GBP 701m despite lower interest income. Costs were managed (GBP 494m, +4%) and the simplification programme is complete. Management expects 2026 costs to be modestly higher to fund growth initiatives (guidance implying GBP 530–540m for the year based on H2 run-rate plus ~4% inflation). Longer-term cost guidance remains “inflation plus a few percentage points.” Capital and shareholder returns: a buyback will start to return the identified excess capital and the new distribution policy intends to deliver progressive cash dividends per share (supported by ongoing buybacks reducing share count).
