Siemens Energy AG Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
Siemens Energy reported a very strong start to FY2026 with record orders (EUR 17.6–18.0 billion) and a record backlog of EUR 146 billion, driven by broad-based demand across Gas Services, Grid Technologies and other segments. Revenue grew ~13% (to EUR 9.7 billion) and profit before special items improved significantly (margin ~12%). Free cash flow was exceptionally strong (EUR 2.9 billion pre-tax), supporting an adjusted net cash position of EUR 7.6 billion. Gas Services booked 102 gas turbines (c.13 GW) and strengthened reservation commitments (~80 GW total commitments, ~22 GW in data centers). Grid Technologies delivered strong orders and margins (orders EUR 6.0 billion; margin ~17.6%) and the company is expanding manufacturing capacity (notably a ~$1bn U.S. investment program adding ~1,500 jobs and new plants in Austria and Croatia). Siemens Gamesa shows progress toward breakeven but remains seasonal and benefited from timing effects this quarter. Management reiterated FY2026 guidance and FY2028 targets remain unchanged, while noting seasonality (H1 typically stronger) and that they will reassess at mid-year.
