St. James Place Capital Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
St. James's Place reported a strong H1 2026: positive net inflows of £2.7bn, record funds under management of £240.8bn and continued adviser/client growth and engagement. Operating performance benefited from strategic programmes (including a historic ongoing service evidence review) and a provision release that management will return in full to shareholders via a buyback. Adviser numbers were broadly stable (+0.3%) with partner retention ~90% (vs 91% in 2025); the business is expanding recruitment (including the SJP Academy) and lateral hires, and expects adviser growth to pick up in 2027 as recent investments convert. Management says advisers retain roughly 80% of advice fees (after initial and ongoing payments and allowances). Net flows are running around 2–3% of opening FUM currently; gross inflows were £10.5bn in H1 and adviser case volumes are up ~9% year-on-year (with smaller average case size). Management is continuing to invest ~£260m+ in adviser technology, pay and productivity tools and is moving into the “Amplify” growth phase. Other notable points: Flagstone transfer times are being improved, Polaris Multi-Index has reached ~£4.6bn, high-net-worth initiatives are expanding, and the company retains an ambition to materially grow adjusted profits (doubling ambition from 2023–2030 remains the company’s long‑term target).
