Tryg AS Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Tryg reported a strong Q2 with revenue growth of 3.3% (5% in Private) and an adjusted insurance service result of DKK 2.39bn (DKK 1.19bn reported including a DKK 1.2bn one-off workers' compensation charge). The adjusted combined ratio was an excellent 77.4% driven by very strong Norway and Sweden performance and a 50 bps improvement in the underlying claims ratio (60 bps in Private). Investment result was DKK 262m; property exposure was reduced by DKK 450m pro forma (to ~DKK 1.9bn) and proceeds reinvested into low-risk covered bonds. Operating EPS was DKK 3.2 and DPS was DKK 2.15; solvency ratio remained robust at 196%. Management updated 2026 revenue guidance to around +3% (H2 expected weaker than H1) and reiterated confidence that growth will accelerate in 2027 and should exceed current market expectations, while cautioning that accelerated growth may slightly dampen short-term underlying improvement. The company continues to prioritize disciplined, profitable growth, execution of commercial partnerships (e.g., SAS EuroBonus, Lederne), cost efficiency, and a low-risk investment strategy.
