Elon Musk claims authorities are ‘harassing’ him

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says Tesla CEO Elon Musk, worth almost $250 billion, claims he is the victim of harassment. The claim stemmed from tweets made by Mr Musk hinting at privatising his company which led to him being sanctioned by the Department of Justice and the Securities Exchange Commission. Mr Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro issued a statement which said the commission was “targeting Mr Musk and Tesla”. “The SEC seems to be targeting Mr Musk and Tesla for unrelenting investigation largely because Mr Musk remains an outspoken critic of the government,” the statement read.
Lawyers for Elon Musk sent a letter to a federal judge in Manhattan accusing the SEC of harassing him with investigations and subpoenas over his Twitter posts.
