ADMIRAL GROUP Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q4 2025
Admiral reported a record FY2025 profit of £958m (up 16% YoY) supported by 7% customer growth, a group NPS above 50 and strong performance across its businesses. U.K. Motor delivered a record profit (c.£1bn), though 2025 loss ratios were higher versus an unusually strong 2024; management took a disciplined pricing stance in 2025 and has started modest price increases in early 2026. Europe returned to profitability (combined ratio ~94%) with notable recoveries in Italy and strong growth in France. Admiral Money doubled profit, helped by capital-efficient forward-flow lending and relaunched car finance. Strategic progress accelerated in data, technology and AI (150+ gen‑AI initiatives, machine‑learning models credited with >£100m of incremental loss‑ratio value) and Admiral is integrating telemetry-led Flock (subject to regulatory approval) to build a differentiated fleet/commercial offering. Capital and shareholder returns: solvency ratio remains very strong at 193%, final dividend raised to 90p (total 205p, +7% YoY), and the capital return policy was evolved to allow buybacks (from interim 2026) or specials depending on board judgment. The group has submitted (or will shortly submit) an internal model for approval and would target 150–170% solvency coverage post-approval. Guidance/near-term outlook: management expects group profit to be broadly flat in 2026 versus 2025, continued growth across non‑Motor lines, gradual reduction of reserve strength toward mid-range in 2026, and cumulative efficiency and automation benefits targeted to exceed £100m pa by 2028. Overall strategy is to ‘‘compound’’ strengths — scale selectively, future‑proof capabilities (AI, data, telematics), and amplify Admiral’s culture — while retaining capital discipline.
