DLocal Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
dLocal reported a very strong Q1 2026: TPV reached $14.1 billion (up 73% YoY) and gross profit hit a record $119 million (up 40% YoY). Growth was broad-based across countries, verticals and merchants, with notable strength in Argentina (recovery from Q4), Africa & Asia, travel and on-demand delivery. The company highlighted durable competitive advantages: one API, deep local infrastructure, extensive payment-method and licensing coverage (38 licenses, operations in 60+ countries), and vertical diversification. Revenue retention has exceeded 140% for four consecutive quarters. Results were impacted by two one-off items: (1) a nonrecurring prior-period tax adjustment (~$9.7 million total impact, $5.3M in corporate tax and $4.4M in OpEx) and (2) carryover of elevated OpEx from the 2024–2025 investment cycle that is most visible in H1 2026. Management says these are nonrecurring/transitional effects, expects OpEx growth to moderate and operating leverage to improve in H2 2026, and left full-year guidance unchanged. Cash generation remains healthy (cash flow from operations before working capital changes ~$69.3M). Working-capital was temporarily impacted by funding architecture for advances in certain markets (Argentina) and should normalize over coming quarters. Strategic priorities include converting investments into improved operating profit, returning capital (buyback authorization referenced previously), continued product development (BNPL, stablecoins, merchant-specific products) and deeper expansion in Africa and Asia.
