SANUWAVE Health Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q1 2026
SANUWAVE reported a mixed but constructive Q1 2026: revenue was a company-record Q1 of $9.6M (up 3% YoY) with consumables utilization up 22% YoY and sequential applicator unit sales at an all-time high. The quarter began with a market-wide pause following CMS reimbursement changes, but management says the market is thawing, with active systems increasing by 90 to 1,382 and improving monthly trends across Q1. Gross margin contracted to 77.3% due to a higher mix of reseller (wholesale) sales. Operating loss was $1.1M and net loss $1.4M (improved vs. prior year primarily from nonrecurring derivative losses in 2025), adjusted EBITDA was positive $1.1M. Cash was $10.8M at quarter end. Management reiterated full-year revenue guidance of $51M–$55M and provided Q2 guidance of 10%–15% YoY growth ($11.1M–$11.6M), citing seasonal tailwinds, several large account evaluations, and growing traction in hospitals, wound centers, long-term care and mobile wound care. Headcount, R&D and one-time remediation costs increased operating expenses; management expects operating leverage to improve as revenue scales.
