Vista Oil & Gas S.A.B. de C.V Earnings Call Transcript Summary of Q2 2026
Vista reported a very strong Q2 2026 driven by the closing of the Equinor asset acquisition (Bandurria Sur and Bajo del Toro) and solid organic growth. Key operational and financial highlights: total production averaged 156.1k BOE/d (up 32% YoY; oil 135.4k bbl/d, +33% YoY), revenues were $1.15bn (+89% YoY), Adjusted EBITDA was $805m (+99% YoY) and net income was $322m. Lifting costs were low at $4.5/BOE. CapEx for the quarter was $467m. Cash flow from operations was $985m; net of the Equinor acquisition payment, free cash flow was $491m for the quarter. Net leverage was 1.41x Adjusted EBITDA (1.25x pro forma). Management reiterated 2026 guidance of $3bn Adjusted EBITDA at $85/bbl and noted a sensitivity of roughly $200m in Adjusted EBITDA for every $10/bbl change in H2 oil price. Capital allocation priorities: continue growth and M&A optionality, but near-term focus on deleveraging toward ~1x net leverage by year-end while retaining flexibility for buybacks or returns in future. Operational updates: VMOS pipeline progressing (project ~65% complete; onshore/offshore components at varying completion levels) with no expected need to revert to trucking; RIGI filings are underway for several projects (Bandurria Norte soon, others to follow). Management expects to be on track to deliver full-year guidance and highlighted continued cost/efficiency initiatives in Vaca Muerta.
