Tesla Inc. Recalls 3,878 Cybertrucks
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) is issuing a recall for 3,878 Cybertrucks due to a risk that the accelerator pedal pad could become dislodged and trapped by the interior trim, posing a risk of unintended acceleration, as reported by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
This defect increases the likelihood of a crash. Tesla service centers will address this issue by repairing or replacing the accelerator pedal assembly free of charge to owners. Following the announcement, Tesla's shares fell 1.7% in premarket trading on Friday.
